How do you refine a brand’s image and take it to new places without losing its iconic shape? The Wonderful Company sought to give America's #1 premium imported bottled water brand a new, fresh look. They sought a sleek bottle design that would allow Fiji Water to be the brand consumers took with them everywhere, without compromising structural integrity and brand recognition in the process.
While the previous bottle had become a key brand asset, the larger sizes didn't fit in standard cup holders. A compelling solution was to simplify the structure by removing its label panel bumpers. This seemingly simple task became an engineering challenge which was greatly aided by using FEA to model how design iterations would (literally) hold up under pressure.
In January of 2017 the new Fiji bottles were launched across the portfolio. The new bottles topped off the brand refresh by helping to remove all distractions from the pure, clean product within, and the unique ability to see through the product to the back panel. The re-design earned recognition from BXP and Beverage Industry magazines, and the brand's growth in the category continued.
